threatening and instilling fear,
even killing some who are innocent fighters
or just plain innocent

In the face of a future that is unclear
and a present that feels unforgiving,
it opens up the space for laughter
and song

This coming together of people
clears the path ahead simply by
the power and energy of us

It may have taken a while to fully awaken
this multitude but we are wise to 
the machinations of those wishing to destroy
this country we are still working to build

This coming together of people
has revealed literally millions that stand
strong and united

We are all family, friends, neighbors and
strangers in this fight,
and WE are getting stronger.
